The World’s Best Homemade Ranch Dressing
Not to brag, but this is definitely the world’s best homemade ranch dressing. Bar none. How can I be so confident with this statement? I converted someone who hates all dressings into wanting this on just about everything now.
Ranch Dressing Hater
So, once upon a time, there was this boy. He was a picky eater. When I first started cooking for him I got an entire list of things he would not eat. It was insane. One of the things that he hated was salad dressing.
Who in the world eats a salad without any form of dressing on it? Not even oil and vinegar. Just a dry bowl of lettuce, tomato, and cheese. Freaking weirdo.
So one day, I decided I wanted veggies and ranch dressing. I’m not a fan of store-bought, so I whipped up a batch of my World’s Best Homemade Ranch Dressing. And then proceeded to make him try it. (My reasoning is that everything homemade is better than the crap you buy at the store.) And he liked it.
Needless to say, I have converted a non-dressing-eating, picky man into loving this stuff as much as I do. Even if you don’t normally like ranch, you have to try this version and let me know what you think.
World’s Best Homemade Ranch Dressing
Ever wonder where ranch dressing came from? While the year of its inception is debated by some, history tells us ranch dressing was created in 1949 by a plumber-turned-cowboy in Alaska. Steve Henson is the man behind this dressing perfection. In fact, Henson moved to California and purchased a ranch he called Hidden Valley Ranch, which made the now-famous dressing a staple.
