Secret Weapon Rib Rub
My secret weapon to making the best ribs on the block.
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika I liked using smoked paprika, but regular works just as well.
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper If you are sensitive to heat, substitute chipotle chili powder instead, or just leave out.
Mix all ingredients in a small bowl or jar.
Sprinkle or spoon seasoning mix onto ribs, rubbing to distribute evenly.
Repeat on back side of the rack of ribs.
Place on cookie sheet and cover tightly with foil.
Let sit in refrigerator for 8-12 hours.
